Covenant children

A surfing contest at "the lane."

a Prayer,

Our triumphant King and risen Lord Jesus, This is the day that you have made, we rejoice and are glad in it. We thank you heartily for the solid meat of real food, of real worship, and good theology. We praise you for weather, for all the kinds of weather you give us. We have tasted of some of the best of food, we have heard of the sweetest of sounds, smelled the most succulent of aromas, and have felt of the glory of what another person feels like who is made in your image. We thank you for all things earthy, for all things messy, we thank you for the windows of the souls of men in other’s eyes. We truly have eaten of the fat, and drunk of the sweet, and we do not desire to wax fat and kick as it was said of Jeshurun. We do not want the daughter of our prosperity to consume us and make our physical and spiritual eyes bulge with fatness and laziness. We are profoundly thankful, desire to be content to the bone with our monotony, and mundane matters, not despising the longsuffering and forbearance that you show us which shows your goodness leading us to repentance. Thank you and praise you God for the blood, and the mud, the sweat, and the tears of your love for us and for our love in turn for you and for our brothers and sisters. Thank you Jesus for hard work. Fatigue, lined eyes, and for headaches. You are more important and others are more important than pain. Thank you for a clean conscience through repentance, what a gift, what -a -gift. For joy, laughter, a pure heart, and for holiness. For the body of Christ, the twirky personalities, the immaturity and struggle within us which through your providence drives us to You and drives us all to struggle with one another. Teach us to love, large hearts, open minds, flexible with others personalities and differences. Enlarge our respect for our brothers and sisters, give mutual love and understanding. Wash away the filth of Saruman in us, the pettiness, anger, bitterness, envy, discontent, lust, and pride. Renew us, remake us, and break us down, so that we are remade into the true and real new Man, the Man Christ Jesus unto all things, our Head, our Praise.
Jesus’ name,
Amen

This is Peter Parker's bro, he is actually our son. He actually let us take a direct shot of him, he just saved a squirrel from getting run over before this shot... We are okay with his spider powers...You know, every now and then we have to reprimand him for throwing web balls at his friends who just took his toy, but hey, we're proud of him...

How much of the pure glory of God can you see in this little flower? How many people noticed just this one flower and gave thanks to the Father?

here we are on a road trip

Me, surfing at Cowell's beach which is one of the best places to take novices like me. The wet suit was amazing.. It was like Spidey man's black suit in his upcoming movie, and no I don't have any revenge towards anybody...The seams on the suit are liquid seams believe it or not, and it really keeps the water out.

This is actually a movie, but I don't know if it will work. I surfed/preached/and toured Santa Cruz, CA in Feb. and Jana and I are going back in April!!

The Lord is risen: He is risen indeed!
Are you a Christian?
Are you baptized?
Do we eat the Lord’s Supper together with Jesus our Savior?
Do you believe in Jesus all in faith from your heart?
Is Jesus in your heart then?
Let us rejoice and eat together looking to the Marriage Supper of the Lamb in which we will eat in the very physical presence of Jesus and all believers of all time
Blessed Almighty God, we bless you and this food before us now, Amen!
Sola De Gloria!

We all eat chocolate before the meal and tell stories.
Sorry, it has been too long, if anyone even looks at this anymore!

My brethren, the LORD Jesus Christ has risen from the dead.. Why are we so worried about the future? Why has so much of American Christianity influenced us in thinking that we need to be so consumed with what may happen at any day? A terrorist attack? A nuclear bomb, the rapture, world war III, the great tribulation, the European Union starting to require everyone to have a 666 membership tracking device so that the Government will never allow you to dip below the poverty line? A terrorist attack will surely come, wars and rumors of wars will always be around to a greater or lesser extent for some time to come, but we must know by faith and reality based on the Word of God, that God is the controller of history, and that He has triumphed over the principalities and powers. But just as the disciples couldn’t get it until Jesus was slaughtered and then risen, so we have a real hard time getting it, that the way of triumph and victory still is death and resurrection. Most in our country in this day, will not be martyred, but we must all die to ourselves daily and follow Him. This is how Jesus will bring in His kingdom. And we need to recover the significance of Jesus’ triumph over death and vindicating all God’s promises. What the Jews thought God would do for Israel at the end of history God has done in Jesus in the middle of history for all the world. The early church, so fresh from the living memory and reality of the Son of God, Emmanuel, was unstoppable. Even as Christians were being crucified, then burnt alive to light up Nero’s games, the church spread all over Asia minor and beyond. Brethren, we need to recover the triumphant joy and realization of OT hope; what was hope, and longing for millions of Jews and Gentiles for centuries upon centuries, has now become joyful reality We need to recapture this by first being faithful to obey Him and love Him right where we are, and His gospel will change the world.
1. The rest of our lives and development in grace will only be ((if we continue to mature that is)) a deeper and deeper understanding of the significance of what has already happened--The triumph of the Lord Jesus over the Law which condemned us in our sin, and most of all a deeper love and awareness of the depth of grace.
2. We need to pray as Paul did for the reality of the love of God and the triumph of God’s grace Eph. 1:17 “…That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of Him. I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints, and what is the surpassing greatness of His power toward us who believe. These are in accordance with the working of the strength of His might which He brought about in Christ , when he raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His right hand in the heavenly places, far above all rule and authority and power and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this age but also in the one to come. And He put all things in subjection under His feet, and gave Him as head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. ( So think about that, the church is the fullness of Him!)
The greatest need of the church today and in our individual lives wherever and whatever we may be struggling, is a greater knowledge of the Lord Jesus. Peter also echoes this in II Pet. 1:3 “…seeing that His divine power has granted to us all things pertaining to life and godliness, through the true knowledge of Him who called us….”
Power is associated with the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and the Spirit given to the church, it is this power from God because of the resurrection, by the Spirit, that enables us to obey Jesus and conquer sin in our lives. Do we believe it? Do we appropriate it by faith?
Psalm 49:15 says, “But God will redeem my soul from the power of Sheol, For He will receive me.

State of the Union

I have been looking for a book like this...A book that describes Islam and its realistic impact on the world. It is a must read. Not conspiracy theory, but a clarion call for America to wake up to the demographical changes of Europe and other places, to the tsunami of Islamic infiltration. The premise is that America alone has the chance to wake up and realize the Islamic revolution through the world through their subtle population surge while Russians and Europeans get all their abortions and have 0 to 1 kids, thus killing off their own population, and allowing Islamists to take over their countries and instill Shariah law. Mark Steyn totally fumbles the ball at the end of the book though, when he asks the question, "What should be done about Islam"? He proposes that we should "reform" Islam. He then goes on to give us some decent ways to yes, handle the Islamo-fascists in a narrow foreign policy and political way but--here is the deal... How will Christianity destroy Islam? I invite my tiny (if any) little group of readers to respond with ideas. Christianity will only destroy Islam when the following things happen: The Church is far more unified than it is now. The Church is far more repentant, and we realize that the only way to quench violence in a people is the gospel. But we want to fight the way of flesh and blood. We want to fight with the shiny weapons of war, or hyped up make us feel good democratic diplomacy. But no amount of tolerant, culturally sensitive diplomacy is going to unhinge a millennia of war and hate in a dark, dark people. The bottom line is this: we will have to reach the point where the church is mature enough to send little armies of missionaries to the most volatile places-and the short of it is, get killed. I am not saying that we should seek martyrdom like some of the early Christians did, where it seemed to be reckless abandon for death in some cases. We should be secretive to a point, just like Paul was tricky several times in his missionary journeys in not getting caught by whoever was seeking him i.e. getting let down in a basket in one city, and setting up a roadblock in another etc., I do believe though, it will take brave to the core, Spirit iron-plated men, single, to take Bibles and preach in Arabic and go to Tehran and other places and love the Muslims. The way of the advancing gospel is always death and resurrection. God's kingdom does grow through the blood of the martyrs. We must have even more boldness than they do, who will even go to the point of blowing themselves up--in droves. This is what makes them volatile. Blind submission and obedience to death for their god, Satan. They don't have sophisticated weaponry, or sophisticated cultures, how could they? It is only in a culture inundated with the gospel that you can have all the blessing and prosperity over the long haul. So, for us what do we do? We love our wives and husbands. We raise our children in love and not fear for the future. We raise them in joy. We work our jobs with joy and vigor. We educate and lead the church in our humble giftings to be aware and know what to do in the times that God has given us. We seek unity, we seek repentance, we seek mature and careful thinking about the world. We support missions. We support missionaries with alot of money and alot of prayer. We open up schools and churches in volatile countries. We try and adopt children from their depraved and ridiculous Islamic countries. We send families and not just inidviduals to countries where it is needed but not necessarily life threatening if families are involved, but we do send families! Islam will be destroyed through the Church, and the gospel. But remember my fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you but what you can remember about God always using Apostate brother Ishmael to scourge the church throughout church history. Just as God used Assyria and Babylon as His "war club"--see Jer. so He is using Islamic possessed demoniacs to punish us. And with every hearing of an abortion done, a Christian child departing from the faith from a tyrant of a Christian father, pastors who teach horrible and damnable false doctrine, and have their own children going apostate, thus making them unsuitable for the pastorate, our ungratefulness, and worship of idols--remember this, when you realize that it is a large amount of our brothers--Christian men in the Marine core and other branches of which there are many--who are being blown apart for the church's sin, America's apostates, and pagans. The church leads the way in the culture always.. For better or for worse. And the church in the United States has lead the culture bad in many areas.

State of the Union evening.
